The Jewellery workshops are designed for students wishing to focus their future on the world of antique and contemporary jewellery.
In this laboratory, you will obtain everything you need to develop a professional career in the world of jewellery, and you will acquire the ability to know how to use each of the techniques to be applied at will.

In Florence, you can visit and participate in seminars that have been following this wonderful tradition for years and you will learn the techniques to be among the best professionals.
As long as there are places and you have been admitted, you can start at any time. Our lessons are for small groups and you will be followed by our tutor, in accordance with your level at the start of the course. In these courses, we do not admit more than 12 participants per tutor in each class.

The teaching method involves practical work in the laboratory, with the use of tools and materials. The student’s work will consist in the elaboration of a theme, from an idea to the creation of an artwork, in abstract or figurative form.
Each student will be followed closely, with care and respect for their ability in order to encourage freedom of expression and the development of their creative style, whatever the level.

An initial exploration of the tools and various metals, with creations based on drawings and simple compositions such as cutting, filing, laminating, wire drawing, welding and fretwork. Grinding, cleaning and polishing are then performed to finish the completed objects.

In-depth learning of traditional and modern techniques to learn how to give shape to metal sheet and wire with mobile elements and the creation of objects, rings, earrings, pendants, bracelets and necklaces with clasp mechanisms, all based on drawings. This course also includes drawing lessons focused on jewellery design and initial information on wax work.
A selection of the most classic forms, Florentine-style engraving and fretwork, elements of construction with metal wires and preparation for special types of stone settings.
You will develop a workbook during the entire process including your projects, photographic images, drawings and applications that you have made yourself so you can present a professional portfolio.
At the end of the course, you will receive a certificate and diploma that will guarantee your knowledge and level attained.
