The Jewellery workshops are designed for students wishing to focus their future on the world of antique and contemporary jewellery.

In this laboratory, you will obtain everything you need to develop a professional career in the world of jewellery, and you will acquire the ability to know how to use each of the techniques to be applied at will.

In these workshops, you will work in a stimulating training environment where creativity, innovation, originality and excellence are encouraged and valued.

A maximum of 12 students per course allows us to follow the technical and artistic evolution of each student.

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
In the morning: from 9,00 to 12,00

Laboratory Description

A technique used to embellish and decorate artefacts of all kinds. It consists in the removal of material from the object itself without the aid of machines, in the traditional way, by manually using gravers and burins. The engravings are carried out on flat and curved surfaces, following a previously reproduced drawing. With this type of engraving, it is also possible to make monograms and emblems for sealing wax or steel cones to print medals and various friezes.

Engraving is a technique used in the jewellery trade to embellish and decorate all types of items.

It entails the removal of material from the item itself, in the traditional manner without the use of machines but instead manually with small burins and chisels.

The engraving is performed on flat or curved sheets, following a previously traced design. With this type of engraving it is also possible to create monograms and signet rings for sealing wax, and even steel dyes for stamping medals and various other decorations.

Creates the effect of silk, damask, embroidery or lace, ornate with frames or an infinite number of floral motifs

The learning of this decorative technique includes design, tool repair, the correct use of burins, practical exercises and modelling of bas-relief figures.

Engraving is used to prepare the items for the application of enamels, cloisonné or champlevé.

Engraving is a technique that can be used in various ways on different types of materials. It serves for creating graffiti clichés on copper and other metals, and for printing words and designs on paper with the ancient “press” technique. It is also used for creating dedications, monograms and coats of arms, for example, on silverware.

You will develop a workbook during the entire process including your projects, photographic images, drawings and applications that you have made yourself so you can present a professional portfolio.
At the end of the course, you will receive a certificate and diploma that will guarantee your knowledge and level attained.
